Rockin' '50 - Early '60's style classic and original Doo Wop, Rhythm & Blues.
Lil' Mo and the Dynaflos came about one night around 2004 at the World Famous Derby Club in Los Angeles as "Lil' Mo" Morris Everett and Cliff Quan discussed their love for Doo Wop music. Lil' Mo, being a veteran of previous vocal groups and Cliff, being an avid Doo Wop listener and rockabilly guitar player in the LA band “The Hellzaboppers”, decided "Why not give it a go ourselves"? The rest is history!

The original group consisted of 5 vocalists and 4 musicians, whom Cliff recruited from the creme of the crop of L.A.'s Rockabilly and '50's Rhythm and Blues scene. Unlike other vocal groups, Cliff's idea was to make the band an integral part of the group (instead of a vocal group with a back up band). This idea was to form the structure and sound of "The Dynaflos". The current line-up consists of 4 vocalists and 4 musicians.
The Dynaflo's set consists of some obscure 50's-60's Doo Wop, some standards and a growing list of original tunes. Something for everyone! They blend their style of 50's, 60's, Doo Wop and R&B, with an upbeat, rockin' band. Combine that with a high energy stage show and you'll find one undeniably fun, hard working, Doo Wop Rock n’ Roll group that is hard to ignore. They are becoming high in demand at car shows (Viva Las Vegas Car Show, John Force Holiday Car Show, Grand National Roadster Show, Sacramento Autorama, The National Collector Car Appreciation Day Car Show, OCCA Labor Day Cruise), swing dances, parties, clubs, weddings, etc... and have played five very successful shows overseas, in Spain (The Screamin’ Festival) twice in England (The Rhythm Riot), in France (Bethune Retro Festival) and in Italy (Sh-Boom Doo Wop Festival). The City of Bethune were so happy with their performance, they have been invited again to play Bethune Festival 2016. They have played in some capacity, at 9 out of the last 11 Viva Las Vegas Weekenders and have performed as the backing band to acclaimed UK vocalist Si Cranstoun, original ‘50’s doo wop artists Norman Fox (“Tell Me Why”, “Dream Girl”, “Pizza Pie”), Cleftones singer Herbie Cox ("Heart and Soul", Little Girl of Mine", "Can't We Be Sweethearts"), The Jive Five's Eugene Pitt ("My True Story", "Tick Tock", "Happy Man"), Bobby Lewis ("Tossin' and Turnin", "One Track Mind") and The Drifter's Bobby Hendricks. They played again at Viva Las Vegas in 2016 headlining the main stage. They performed at the 2nd Annual Rhythm Collision Weekender in January 2015 and again in January 2017. In Dec. of 2016 they performed for the first time to a very enthusiastic crowd at the Jump N' Jive Festival in Mexico City, Mexico. They were only 1 of 12 bands selected by the head of Viva Las Vegas Weekender, Tom Ingram, to record their version of "Viva Las Vegas" for a free CD giveaway celebrating Viva Las Vegas' 20th Anniversary. Their original music has been used in movies such as Lionsgate Film's "The Winning Season" and highly acclaimed independent film "The Deuce of Spades".
They were signed to German record label “Rhythm Bomb Records” in 2013. Their discography includes 6 CD’s (Lil’ Mo and the Dynaflos, In 2nd Gear, 3rd Time’s a Charm, Original Hits Vol. 1, Street Corner Sessions, Get Up and Dance) as well as numerous compilations and one “Greatest Hits” 12" vinyl LP. If you get a chance, grab their CD's or catch one of our live shows, as Lil' Mo and the Dynaflos carry on the tradition of the street corner crooners.

Big Sandy – Viva Las Vegas 14
"“The best opening night band at Viva Las Vegas… ever!” Announced onstage after their encore performance on the main stage, Thursday Night. To kick off Viva Las Vegas 14 Weekender."

The Pasadena Weekly “John Sollenberger”
"“Lil’ Mo and the Dynaflos, a hot band that knows how to get feet moving. The group heats up the dance floor with the sounds of 1950s and ’60s-style doo-wop and classic and original R&B. The band has been a hit since its inception in 2004. A mutual love for the style has led to a successful run, with the group filling dance floors around California and as far away as England."

Ol’ Skool Rodz Magazine
"I caught up with this So Cal doo wop band in Reseda, California, where they performed flawlessly and entertained the nightclub crowd with good music, gaffes and hijinks.” “And just like the band’s rockin’ stage performance, the boys’ CD, In 2nd Gear, does not disappoint. It’s 14 tracks of take-me-back music that’s authentic and pure. The collection of obscure ‘50’s and ‘60’s doo wop and a few standards is performed with the energy and spirit of a talented group of performers that can truly understand and recreate not only the sound but the soul of that special time."

"With any new Doo Wop group, theres a huge risk of it just coming across cheesy, corny and usually ends up turning into this nostalgic golden oldies sock hop'd mess. Well luckily, Los Angeles, California based Doo Wop quartet are keeping it alive. They have a fantastic blend that sounds very authentic and do songs that are just so catchy and addicting. They've got a killer 4 piece band backing them. These guys have some albums out and I really recommend you check them out. These guys definitely deliver that street corner sound and have a great blend of voices. Check 'em out!"

"In 2nd Gear. This CD is highly recommended for all of you who love the doo wop sound. I once more recommend obtain this CD as “Lil’ Mo and the Dynaflos” really nail the sound. The doo wop revival groups should take a lesson from these guys on how to duplicate the ‘50’s sound.”"
